The newly formed Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) on Wednesday announced the first part of what it called the party’s “parivartan package” ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference,GPP president Keshubhai Patel attacked Narendra Modi for “misrule” and blamed him for not doing anything to check the price rise.

“Does the state government have no responsibility towards checking price rise?” he asked. “Both Congress and BJP are doing nothing to give relief to the people and are only blaming each other.”

Gordhan Zadaphia, who was also present at the press meet, said the total cost of their “package of promises” would amount to Rs 2,700 crore annually.

Zadaphia backs small industries

Gordhan Zadaphia said that if voted to power,GPP would work to strengthen the small scale and medium industries that have more potential to generate employment than big industries and the global investors summit would be changed on those lines.
