Eight persons were arrested by the Local Crime Branch (LCB) sleuths of Kheda district on Thursday after they busted an inter-state theft gang that had spread its operations as far as Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh,Uttar Pradesh,Karnataka and Maharashtra. They recovered various household items worth Rs 80 lakh stacked in different godowns in Ahmedabad,Kheda,Rajkot and Surat districts.

The matter came to light when acting upon a loot case registered at Kheda police station on April 12,a team of the LCB arrested one Sulaiman Kathdi,a resident of Godhra, from a godown at Aslali in Ahmedabad.
