Five more people died of swine flu in the state on Thursday,taking this year’s H1N1 death toll to 110.

Five more people died of swine flu in the state on Thursday,taking this year’s H1N1 death toll to 110. As many as 19 new cases were also reported today.

The deceased include a 53-year-old woman from Gandhinagar,a 30-year-old woman from Modasa (both died at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital),a 36-year-old man from Jamnagar,a 53-year-old woman from Veraval (both died at Rajkot Civil Hospital) and a 44-year-old man from Gandhidham who died at a private hospital in Bhuj.

Jail tunnel: Order reserved on DCB revision plea

A sessions court on Thursday reserved its order for March 16 on the revision petition filed by the Detection of Crime Branch for further custody of five of the 2008 serial blasts accused in connection with the failed Sabarmati jailbreak attempt. The DCB has sought their further remand for 10 days to find out more details in the tunnel digging case. The DCB had earlier filed an application with a metropolitan court for further remand of the accused which was rejected.
