A South Korean national Saturday allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 7th floor of an apartment in Mehsana. The police said that the reasons behind the incident were still unknown. According to local police, Kim Sang Mon, 52, had arrived in Mehsana on working visa on November 20. He was a technical expert working in a factory, situated in Martoli village, that manufactures alloy wheels. Mon was training the local staff the use of newly-imported machine.

Police said that Mon lived at Balaji Heights in Mehsana where around 5:30 in the morning his roommate, who also works in the same factory, found him missing. He was later found dead outside the apartment with multiple injuries.
Mehsana district Superintendent of Police Chaitanya Mandlik said, “We haven’t been able to find any reason for the suicide, but his colleagues have told us that he was stressed for the past two-three days. We don’t yet know what was the reason.”
Police said that the body has been sent for post-mortem and the report is awaited. The police are recording statements of his colleagues and the roommate who was living with him in the apartment.
