Gujarat: RSS women’s wing chief backs demonetisation

All India chief of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, the women’s wing of RSS, Shanta Akka on Sunday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation move. She was here for the relaunch of samiti’s Shree Shakti Aradhana magazine, a tri-monthly edition published by Shree Shakti Pratishthan Trust into a monthly one.

Gujarat Governor O P Kohli who was the chief guest stressed on the importance of magazines in a woman’s life as well as in nation-building and urged them to inculcate the habit of reading. At the same time, he also asked the Shree Shakti Pratishthan Trust to incorporate success stories in Aradhana magazine which can motivate other women too.

Referring to the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes Shanta Akka said, “We know about recent surgical strike on terrorism and similar surgical strike on economic thoughts. Due to this what all is happening, we all know. In this reference, there are different write-ups coming up why this was important, there are difficulties due to this but still we can bear these difficulties.”
