Gujarat: MICA to help SEWA trainers with branding, marketing tips

The overall MICA master trainer programme for SEWA will focus on the enterprise development for value chain development among other things.

City-based B-school MICA and Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) will soon join hands for the capacity building of SEWA’s master trainers in domains such as branding, marketing, new media and soft skills in professional and strategic communication.

While the first meeting towards this collaboration was held at Sewagram Mahila Haat this week where a team of officials from MICA’s Dean Preeti Shroff, Manisha Pathak-Shelat, Chairperson, Communication Area at MICA and Sapna George, Assistant Manager, Centre for Social Change Leadership (CSCL) interacted with Reema Nanavaty, chairperson, SEWA Trade Facilitation Centre, Kapilaben, president, SEWA and several SEWA representatives from different districts across the state.

The overall MICA master trainer programme for SEWA will focus on the enterprise development for value chain development and scaling-up SEWA’s existing food, textiles, culture, and education enterprises and will aid with the technology required for grassroots dissemination.
