Gujarat: Man robbed of Rs 4.5 lakh, suspects caught on CCTV

A MAN was robbed of Rs 4.5 lakh by two motorcycle-borned assailants on Wednesday at Vadodara’s busy Sursagar Lake Road, police said.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm, when one Rakesh Goswami, was travelling with a bag of cash amounting to Rs 4.5 lakh entrusted to him by a city angadia, police said.

“In his police complaint, Goswami said he was walking towards his car which was parked his car near the music college at Sursagar Lake Road, when the motorcycle came from behind him. One of the men snatched the bag and they sped away,” Inspector P G Patel of Raopura police station said.

With the help of Goswami’s inputs and CCTV footage, the police have narrowed down to two suspects in the case. A manhunt is on to nab them.
