A 22-year-old man, the brother of a school owner, was allegedly stabbed to death by his business partners over an alleged extramarital affair in Jamnagar city on Tuesday evening. Abha Ambaliya (22) was intercepted by two men in Gokulnagar area of Jamnagar at 5 pm on Tuesday when he was going on his bike. The two assailants stabbed the victim multiple times on the road itself and then sped away on their bike. Abha succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at local hospital.

Later on, the victim’s elder brother, Devshi, filed a complaint with C Division police station of Jamnagar. In the complaint, Devshi named Vejananda Gojiya and his minor son as accused. Based on the complaint, C Division police have booked the father-son duo for murder and criminal intimidation.

Police said the murder was the fallout of an alleged extramarital affair between Devshi and Vejananda’s wife Sati. “Devshi and Vejananda are joint owners of a private school in Jamnagar. Sati is the main administrator of the school. But Vejananda suspected that his wife had an extra-marital affair with Devshi and the two used to quarrel over it. On Tuesday, Vejananda and his son found Ab-ha alone and attacked him over this old tiff,” C Division police inspector C N Parmar said.
