To solve the admission crisis for BSc courses, the Gujarat University (GU) has launched a centralised admission system for students who have been left out and failed to secure admission in any college.

GU Vice-Chancellor Adesh Pal said the students had been asked to download admission forms from the university’s website (www.gujaratuniversity.org.in),fill it up and submit it with proper documents at centres specified by the university to receive forms. The students should also present their original marksheets at the time of submission of forms.

According to Pal,students have been given three days — August 6,7 and 8 — to submit forms. No forms will be accepted after that. However, the new centralised admission is meant for students belonging to Ahmedabad,Gandhinagar,Kheda,Anand,Vadodara and Dahod districts within GU’s territorial jurisdiction.

In Ahmedabad, the forms with requisite documents will be accepted at IAS Training Centre,GU. Other centres where forms can be submitted are Government Science College,Sector 15,Gandhinagar,J & J Science College,Nadiad in Kheda district,R K Parikh Arts and Science College at Petlad in Anand district,PT Arts and Science College,Godhra and CNPF Arts and DN Science College,Dabhoi in Vadodara district.
