The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) will launch its online complaint redressal system and a dedicated Volvo helpline service through WhatsApp messaging application on Tuesday.
While the complaint redressal mechanism has been developed for women employees and passengers,the WhatsApp service is for the convenience of Volvo passengers.
The complaint system called pravasi online complaint centre has been designed keeping in mind the large number of women staff and nearly 6 lakh women passengers who commute daily by state corporation buses.
The WhatsApp service will be available for complaints and suggestions from Volvo passengers and information related to the buses.
The service will be available to passengers free of cost,who can download the application and then save GSRTC Volvo helpline number 9925466996 to get connected.
The GSRTC will be the first in this country to offer such facilities and will achieve newer heights in the development of transport facilities, said GSRTC secretary P D Patel.
Also,an AC waiting lounge with facilities like Wi-Fi and LCD television sets will be inaugurated at GSRTC bus station at Ahmedabads Geeta Mandir.
