Gift City to set up world-class hospital

The project will be awarded to the winning bidder by the end of this month.

The Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) has initiated the process for setting up a world-class hospital as part of the social infrastructure to be put in place in the first phase of the project. For the project,GIFT Co Ltd had invited bids from national as well as international players.

The project will be awarded to the winning bidder by the end of this month.

The request for proposal (RFP) was issued for the 200-bed state-of-the-art hospital in GIFT City in July. Hinduja Hospital,Sterling Hospital,Faith Healthcare,Columbia Asia,Medanta and other chains have shown interest in the project.

Explaining the project’s focus on providing healthcare in the first phase,Ramakant Jha,managing director of GIFT City,said,“We believe that for the growth of any city,infrastructure development has to be a precursor and so,we are focusing on it in the first phase.”
