The French government is keen to have tie-ups in research and design between India and France with a focus on the National Institute of Design and Indian Institute of Management,Ahmedabad. Interacting with mediapersons at the NID,Ambassador Richier said that France has proposed initiatives to encourage exchange programmes for students of these institutes. Every year 25 students from IIM-A undertake exchange programmes in premier management institutes in France, he said. We are planning of organising exhibitions for renovation of old havelis of Ahmedabad. For this,tie-up with NID is being worked out, he said. The French Embassy and India-French Centre for Advanced Research will host the Indo-French Engineering Design Conclave in cooperation with NID in Delhi on October 20-22.
