Four booked for ‘cheating’ farmer in Vadodara

The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Thursday registered a case against four persons for cheating a farmer of his agricultural land by forging signature and document.

The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) on Thursday registered a case against four persons for cheating a farmer of his agricultural land by forging signature and document. Brijesh Chauhan,against whom Vadodara collector had invoked Prevention of Anti-Social Atrocities Act (PASA) on Tuesday,along with Nikunj Bhatt,Bhavesh Patil and Sharda Patel,allegedly transferred land belonging to Bhailal Chauhan in Undera village in the name of Sharda Patel by forging signature and documents,an FIR registered by Bhailal said. They were charged with criminal breach of trust,cheating in delivery of property,extortion,forgery and criminal intimidation under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),including sections 406,420,467,police said.
