Dengue claims one more in Ahmedabad

As per AMC records, this is the fifth dengue death reported from the city.

Dengue claimed one more person in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. A 75-year-old woman, resident of Raikhad, succumbed to dengue at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s V S hospital a day after she was admitted.

As per AMC records, this is the fifth dengue death reported from the city. With the spurt in the vector-borne diseases in the city, the number of dengue cases is much higher. As many as 164 dengue cases were reported in September (till 24), taking the number of total reported cases to 722 this year. As many as 1,790 malaria cases and seven cases of chikungunya have been reported in September so far.
