The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB),which is probing a complaint by states additional advocate general Tushar Mehta that suspended DIG Sanjiv Bhatt had hacked his email account,on Saturday questioned three employees of Anhad,an NGO whose computer was allegedly used by Bhatt.
Shabnam Hashmi of Anhad claimed a DCB team visited their office and took away three people, among them one Gaurang who was not even their employee. The other two are Manisha and Arun Tiwari.
The FIR was originally lodged by Mehta with Vastrapur police station in August 2011. After twomonths, the case was transferred to the crime branchs cyber cell.
In one of his affidavits in the Supreme Court,Bhatt has said he had accessed Mehtas email account and found he used to receive confidential information about from SC-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT),which is probing post-Godhra riots.
Mehta had later lodged the FIR alleging Bhatt not only hacked his email account but also shared information with others, which amounted to a criminal offence.
