Civil supply staff inspect Rajkot’s major oil mills

The civil supply department officials of Rajkot conducted a surprise inspection at several major oil mills and granaries across the district and reportedly seized some unaccounted stock on Sunday. Teams of revenue and civil supply officers inspected stock variables at nearly 40 places,including major oil mills in Gondal,shops of major grain merchants and a few government godowns,the officials said. “It was an inspection drive to check stock of variable oil mills that grain merchants are supposed to maintain. Even a few government godowns are also inspected. Some unaccounted stock has been seized,but we are yet to get report on that,” District Collector Rajendra Kumar told The Indian Express. Around seven teams of officers also undertook checking of stocks at eight oil mills Jamvadi GIDC and seized some stock of edible oil.
