Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation introduces visitors’ pass scheme

The visitor will also be required to get the signature of the official visited while making his exit.

The BJP-ruled Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has introduced a new visitors’ pass scheme to make it quicker to process the large number of visitors to the civic headquarters at Danapith and to improve the security of the premises. This has come into effect from Monday, said a senior official.

According to civic security department officials, with the introduction of this scheme, all visitors to AMC headquarters will have to furnish a valid photo identity, contact number, proof of residential address, purpose of the visit, person intended to be visited in the prescribed format.

After this, a visitor pass duly signed by a security officer will be issued mentioning the time of entry. The visitor will also be required to get the signature of the official visited while making his exit.
