AMC,AUDA get court notice over fire safety in high-rise buildings

The Gujarat High Court on Thursday directed Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) to submit a status report on the fire safety measures in high-rise buildings in the city. A division bench of acting Chief Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya and Justice J B Pardiwala passed the order while acting on a PIL moved by one Prakash Nambiar. Both AMC and AUDA have been asked to submit a status report within a week. Further hearing has been posted after a week.
