In a bid to woo the youths ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress will set up hi-tech kiosks across Gujarat.
For the first time in India,an Ahmedabad-based firm,Wilson Printers Private Limited (WPPL),has developed a prototype of the first of its kind kiosks in India. The kiosks will have a 19 inch LCD screen and a computer, where any person will be able to access the Congress website.
GPCC chief Siddhartha Patel, however, refused to divulge information about the kiosk.
He said: This is for the first time that the move has been taken. The first prototype is ready and will be installed at a location in Ahmedabad. The locations will be decided later.
Nitin Vyas of WPPL said: Our agency will be meeting the Congress leaders on Sunday. The prototype was shown to Rahul Gandhi when he visited Gujarat. It was also shown to Congress leaders Digvijay Singh,Ahmed Patel and Shaktisinh Gohil.
WPPL officials said on condition of anonymity: The cost of each kiosk will be Rs 1 lakh. They will be installed at nearly 50 locations in Gujarat. We have been instructed to keep multiplexes as the main target.

Any contribution made by UPA in any part of Gujarat right from the roads to the policies, will be shown on the computers screen. Attention has been paid to every minute detail, and care will be taken that the user can see every aspect of UPAs contribution even at the local area level.
