3-day symposium on human development,family studies starts at MS University

AIMING to bring academicians to discuss issues related to individual development in Indian society,M S University Human Development and Family Studies conducted a three-day national symposium-Taking Stock and Moving Forward.

AIMING to bring academicians to discuss issues related to individual development in Indian society,M S University (MSU) Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) conducted a three-day national symposium — Taking Stock and Moving Forward. The symposium was inaugurated on Monday,where experts and speakers from various universities will come together to focus on methodological issues in human development.

During the talk,‘Linear to Holographic Changing Models’,S Anandlakshmy,Advisor to Child Development and Education,said: “Earlier,human development studies were very simple,i e,linear. Over the years,there have been several factors that have affected human development. Besides,there is also an increasing need to holograph families in India,i e by covering every aspect of human development.”  

Anandlakshmy,who was the chief guest of the event,concluded: “Child science has magnificent complexity; there is some unique quality in every person.”

The organisers said eminent scholars,both national and international,from fields like human development,psychology,education and sociology will participate in the event to review the nature of researches in India and their contribution in enhancing knowledge about the Indian psyche and development,which indirectly has an impact on the Indian economy.
