The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MSG food products division, Chhinder Pal Arora, a well-known businessman of Sirsa who was also chartered accountant of Dera Sacha Sauda trust, was on Tuesday arrested and remanded to six-day police custody for his alleged involvement in inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25 when Dera head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted.
Arora was arrested from Sirsa. Panchkula Police Commissioner A S Chawla said, “Arora was present in the meeting which took place inside Dera headquarters on August 17 for planning the violence which broke out on August 25. We have also learnt that Arora had direct access to secret gufa of Ram Rahim. He was also present in Panchkula on the day of violence.”
Arora, who is the CEO of MSG All India Trading International Pvt Limited, is also alleged to have helped Honeypreet while she was on the run and was allegedly in touch with some of the absconding Dera functionaries like Aditya Insaan and Pawan Insaan. Meanwhile, Gopal Bansal, a resident of Rajasthan who was arrested earlier, has been remanded to four days in police custody.
Sharanjeet Kaur and her son Gurmeet Singh, arrested from their village in Bathinda, were remanded in judicial custody. The two was arrested for providing shelter to Honeypreet while she was on the run. Sharanjeet and Gurmeet are relatives of Sukhdeep Kaur, who was arrested with Honeypreet on October 3.
