GST midnight launch event a ‘drama’, says Kerala FM

"In fact, discussions on GST started in 2009 and what position BJP had taken at time we know very well. In fact, the entire enterprise of GST was scuttled in 2011 because BJP decided to opposed it," said Thomas Isaac

Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac on Friday described the midnight launch of GST a ‘drama’ and ‘political propaganda’, saying GST is not as fundamental a change as VAT. “…I considered extension of VAT across the state boundaries…But to make a drama of this scale is certainly a political propaganda,” said Isaac, a member of GST Council who has decided not to attend the midnight function at the Central Hall of Parliament.

The Kerala finance minister also accused the BJP of scuttling the GST in 2011.

“In fact, discussions on GST started in 2009 and what position BJP had taken at time we know very well. In fact, the entire enterprise of GST was scuttled in 2011 because BJP decided to opposed it,” he said. Isaac further said, “We are responsible for running state government and we are implementing GST.”

Comrades function through secret meetings of politburo so Parliament is only a drama for them. In China they stage a drama only once in 10 years where their supreme leader speaks all of them clap.

This man, the so called economist, is known for his immature comments and talking differently just opposite thereafter. As Kerala medias (both print and visuals) are totally against central govt ( three channels owing allegiance to CPM, three to Congress, one to Muslim League, one to JDU and the lone BJP channel is less popular and so is the print medias). So, whatever people like Isac 'predicts' from his 'holy mouth', that is printed instantaneously. Kerala faced no problem in demonetization, rather benefited. But Isac and his Boss created a war like situation and went for unanimous Assembly resolution ( with lone BJP MLA voting against) and with comments by the Congress Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala that " Narendra Modi is immature and his boss is matured " to ' lead ' India !!! Isac delayed ries of employees. As for GST, he had said, it is against the country, state and blah.... blah.. and now he says, Kerala will be hugely benefited !!!!

Kerala FM should read history. The concept of GST was started in the Vajpayee time and then congress and all parties have voted so what is the issue now? Congress has worked on this for 10 years after that. Kerala assembly has passed it. It is a shame that our politicians give statements and no one is to hold them responsible for this.

China is capitalist. When will our communist change. UPA has 100 track record of pushing scams schemes. Kerala is a huge isis field. Illiterate literate leaders, who divide people to cover the misrule. Try GST, if fails go back.
