Future Group is contemplating retailing its private brands like Tasty Treat, Clean Mate, Fresh & Pure and Sach through channels other than its own stores of Big Bazaar and KB’s Fair Price.
“Right now our private brands are sold only in Future Group owned formats but we will look at retailing private brands in future,” Food Bazaar CEO Devendra Chawla said.
He said private brands are very strong but refused to share financial numbers. “In FMCG, our private brands have 15-20 per cent market share and in home and cleaning, our private brands have 30-35 per cent share. It is a sizeable business for us,” he added.
