Lobia,peas weaken on subdued demand

Prices of lobia and peas weakened by up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market.

Prices of lobia and peas weakened by up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today due to slackened demand at prevailing higher levels.

Traders said slackened demand against adequate stocks availability in the market mainly led to a fall in lobia and peas prices.

In the national capital,lobia fell by Rs 200 to Rs 4,100-4,800,while peas white and green declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,900-2,950 and Rs 3,050-3,100 per quintal,respectively.

The following are today’s pulses rates per quintal: Urad 3,800-4,150,Urad Chilka (local) 4,600-4,900,best 5,050-5,550,Dhoya 5,500-5,600,Moong 4,800-5,300,Dal Moong Chilka local 5,150-5,550,Moong Dhoya local 5,650-5,750 and best quality 6,350-6,450.

Masoor small 3,800-4,000,bold 3,950-4,150,Dal Masoor local 4,600-4,700,best quality 4,700-4,800,Malka local 4,200-4,300,best 4,400-4,500,Moth 3,300-3,800,Arhar 4,100-4,400,Dal Arhar Dara 5,700-5,900.

Gram 4,500-5,450,Gram Dal (local) 5,500-5,600,best quality 5,700-5,800,Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 2,230,Rajdhani 2,230,Rajmah Chitra 7,200-9,100,Kabli Gram small 5,200-8,700,dabra 2,700-2,800,imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,100-4,800,Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 3,050-3,100.
