Lead futures weaken on sluggish demand

Lead prices traded lower by 0.41 per cent to Rs 120.90 per kg in futures trade.

Lead prices traded lower by 0.41 per cent to Rs 120.90 per kg in futures trade today on sluggish domestic demand amid a weak global trend.

At Multi Commodity Exchange,lead for delivery in October traded lower by 50 paise,or 0.41 per cent,to Rs 120.90 per kg,with a business turnover of 1,211 lots.

Similarly,the metal for delivery in September weakened by 40 paise,or 0.33 per cent,to Rs 120.60 per kg,with a business turnover of 8,235 lots.

Marketmen said sluggish domestic demand amid a weak global trend mainly helped lead prices to trade lower at futures trade.

Meanwhile,lead declined 0.8 per cent to USD 2,239.50 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
