CMs’ panel meet to assess Swachh Bharat mission

The sub-group will recommend steps for technological support, including solid waste management.

A panel of chief ministers on Thursday met to assess the funding needs for executing the Swachh Bharat mission and also to devise a robust institutional mechanism for it.

A sub-group of comprising eleven chief ministers and headed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu also constituted a working group to recommend best practices for executing the mission.

“The sub-group will recommend steps for technological support, including solid waste management,” a Aayog official said.
