Call drops: ‘Trai took great pains to formulate policy’

Continuing arguments over the issue of penalty imposed by the Telecom regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on the first three calls dropped by the service providers per day, Additional Solicitor General of India PS Narasimha told the Delhi High Court that the Trai had “taken great pains” to formulate the policy.

The ASG, arguing on behalf of Trai said that the courts “ought not to interfere” in a policy decision before the policy was implemented and was “within the zone of reasonableness.”
