After teasing the images of the 2015 Tata Nano on its Facebook page, Tata Motors has unveiled the small hatchback a couple of days back. Now ,Tata is all set to launch the new Tata GenX Nano Easy Shift on 19th May, 2015 in India.
The new Tata GenX Nano will run on the same 624cc petrol motor that generates 35bhp and 51Nm of maximum power output and torque, respectively. The engine will come paired to a 5-speed AMT and 4-speed manual gearbox. The current Tata Nano offers a fuel efficiency of 25 kmpl, the new GenX Nano is said to be returning a fuel economy of 21.9 kmpl. As compared to the current Nano’s fuel tank of 15-litre, the GenX Nano will have a larger fuel tank capacity of 24-litres.
The hatchback will come with several additional features like smoked headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, ‘Infinity Motif’ grille at front and rear, new fog lamps, functional tailgate with a 110-litres of boot space for the AMT trim and 94-litres for the manual version (expandable by up to 500-litres), etc. The new Nano will also get two new exterior colours options.
The cabin will get a power steering unit, similar to the Bolt and Zest sedan, improved interior quality, music system with four-speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, Aux-in and USB, etc. Apart from this, AC with heater, central locking system and keyless entry, are the other lists of changes made to the interiors of the new Tata Nano.
The company has also started accepting bookings for the Tata GenX Nano under its new programme – ‘Power of 1+1’. Under this campaign, Tata Motors gives opportunity to the customers to avail benefits like Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus and a referral cash prize of Rs. 5,000 for every referral.
