German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday launched the GLE-Class in India, priced from Rs 58.9 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. Mercedes-Benz has been aggressive this year when it comes to launching new vehicles in the country. The next vehicle from the German luxury car major comes in the form of the GLE-Class.
Playing successor to the ML-Class, the GLE comes across as a major product in the company’s portfolio. Unveiled in April at the New York Motor Show, the SUV has been reworked to look much sharper than before. Starting with the design, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLE facelift gets a new front end that takes inspiration from the S-Class. The twin-slat chrome grille integrates well with the headlamps which feature LED Intelligent Light System. Side profile is highlighted with aluminium roof rails. The rear end gets new LED taillights and a rectangular twin-pipe exhaust system finished in chrome.
