Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India (HMSI) two wheeler giant is planning to add 9 new two-wheelers in its portfolio in 2015. Although the foray will begin in June 2015, Honda has not yet confirmed the segment in which these two-wheelers will be launched. But, we can expect that the manufacturer will mainly target the motorcycles market in the country.
Honda has decided to reveal additional new products at the Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi. The manufacturer will launch seven brand new products while the other two will be upgraded versions of the existing models. Honda is also planning for CKD route of Honda CBR650F and it is expected to be launched during the festive season this year.
The company is also planning to launch new vehicles in 150cc – 200cc segment this year. Honda’s much awaited scooter PCX 150 is expected to be launched this year.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooter has recently inaugurated their manufacturing facility in India which has production capacity of 12 lakh units annually and is planning to increase their production capacity by 39 percent in upcoming years
To increase their network in tier two and tier three cities, Honda is also focusing on launching 800 new sales and service stations. Moreover, they are planning to introduce 20 mobile vans and 825 service on wheels in a bid to reach out to the rural customers.
Honda has an exciting range of motorcycles this year for launch such as Honda CB300F, Honda CB500F, Honda CB 500X, Honda CBR 300R, Honda CBR500R and Honda CBR650F and their much awaited two new scooters namely Honda Lead 125cc and Honda PCX 150.
