Bike Festival to foster a strong biking culture in India

The Bike Festival of India (BFI), which has been planned as a joint initiative by Rhiti Sports Management and Event Capital, has commenced its proceedings with a ‘National Safety Ride’ throughout the country, which was flagged off by the renowned Indian cricketer, Ishant Sharma. The ‘Narional Safety Ride’ is the inaugural event of the Bike Festival of India, which will take place on 4th-5th October at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. The ride has been planned in order to spread the factors of safety awareness in an adventurous manner and create a platform for the biking enthusiasts to share their views and ideas with each other.

The ‘National Safety Ride’ has inculcated Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt Ltd as the official riding partners, with six male and 3 female riders riding out the Triumph Speed Triple and Triumph Thunderbird Storm for the event. The official ‘National Safety Riders’ are Rahul Sharma, Rohan Monga, Jaspreet Aiden, R Venkat Raman, Sheetal Bidaye, Urvashi Patole, Pratish Ambekar, Anjaly Rajan and Sunil Gupta. With the aim of spreading the aim of safe biking, the whole ride will have a span over 8100 kms thorughout India in 30 days, covering all the major cities of Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chandigarh. The riders will take a halt in all the Triumph dealerships in these cities and will be interacting with the riding enthusiasts and exchanging their views with each other in the meet and greet sessions there.


While flagging off the event, Ishant Sharma said, “I have been a biking enthusiast since long and Bike Festival of India is the perfect platform to foster a strong biking culture in India, having said that it is also very important cognizant towards the safe biking awareness in the country.” Mr.Arun Pandey, CMD, Rhiti Sports, further added, “31st August is a very important day for us as it is our National flag day and the BFI National Safety Ride is a tribute to our flag. Through BFI National Safety Ride we aim at strengthening the biking culture in India, and most importantly safe biking and use of helmets as it can save your life. The youth of our country form an integral part of the biking community and play a crucial role in spreading the awareness on abiding the safety norms.”
