Stokes had suffered a blow on Tuesday when RO (Theog) Tashi Sandup had rejected her nomination paper during scrutiny finding some flaws in the papers that she had filed as Congress candidate before closure of the nominations on October 23.
The petition filed through Bipin Negi, a senior lawyer, was listed before acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sandeep Sharma but finding that the court was not inclined to give a relief, she decided to withdraw her petition at end of the day.
