TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee called Roy a “traitor” and accused him of “acting as an agent of the BJP in the party (TMC)” and “trying to weaken it in order to save himself from the clutches of the CBI”.
The BJP had alleged in Kolkata that the Netaji Indoor Stadium, where Shah was scheduled to attend a programme next week, had cancelled the booking for the event. West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress has claimed it had nothing to do with the alleged cancellation.
