Born in a Marathi family, 35-year-old Shibani Dandekar is a VJ, anchor, model and has also sung in various events. After growing up in Australia, she moved to America to host American shows like Namaste America, V Desi and the Asian Variety Show. After returning to India, she worked as a host and participated in various reality shows and events. In the past three years, she has appeared in four movies and is gearing up for Sunhil Sippy's drama 'Noor'. She gained fame as a contestant in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 5. Her love for anchoring also saw her hosting events for Maxim Hot 100, Nike, Rolls Royce, Puma, Mercedes, Toyota, Horlicks among others. She also anchored the Indian produced Grammy Nominees Special on VH1. She has recently been in news where she was seen giving a dazzling performance at the Filmfare Awards(Marathi).
Shibani Dandekar is a part of the Telugu and Malayalam remakes of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen. Shibani will be playing the character of actor Lisa Haydon from the original. Shibani was seen in Naam Shabana and Noor which released earlier this year.
Amy Jackson who was earlier rumoured to be playing Lisa Haydon’s part in the Telugu and Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen is replaced by Elli AvrRam and Shibani Dandekar. Elli will be seen in the Tamil and Kannada remake while Shibani in the Telugu and Malayalam versions of the film.
