Vishal Bhardwaj says receiving a National award is always special regardless of the film he has worked on.
Shahid Kapoor said: “I am very excited to be starring in ‘Rangoon’. Any film with Vishal Bhardwaj is like a precious jewel for me.”
Releasing on October 2, ‘Talvar’ is said to be like a déjà vu for Vishal Bhardwaj as his last film, ‘Haider’ also on the same date last year.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial “Haider” released on October 2 last year, and this year, “Talvar”, which he has written and co-produced, will hit the screens on this date.
Deepika Padukone’s “Piku”, Shahid Kapoor’s “Haider” and Kangana Ranaut’s “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” are among the Bollywood entertainers to be screened at the Indian Film Festival.

Shahid Kapoor tweeted that he was very happy about Haider winning five National Awards.
Anupam Kher, who had opposed ‘Haider’ at the time of its release, blasted Vishal Bhardwaj in a series of tweets and called Vishal ‘fraudish’.
“We have got more than what we expected. We have got five awards and I am overwhelmed,” Bhardwaj said.
Sukhwinder Singh, who has bagged National Award for song Bismil from Haider, said he feels the track truly deserved the honour.
“Haider” will have its screening at the 17th London Asian Film Festival (LAFF).
Shahid Kapoor won the Filmfare award for Best Actor (Male) for his performance in Haider, while Kangna Ranaut received the Best Actor (Female) award for “Queen”, at the Filmfare Awards.
