Arjun Hingorani, who introduced Bollywood to veteran star Dharmendra with the hit romance Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960, has passed away, aged 92.
Director Rajkumar Hirani will get the Raj Kapoor Special Contributions Award. Maharashtra Education and Cultural Affairs Minister Vinod Tawde made the announcement via social media on Sunday.
Abhay Deol’s next is film Nanu Ki Jaanu, a horror-comedy directed by Faraz Haider and co-starring Patralekha. The trailer of the film was launched on March 26. The film is scheduled to release on April 20.
VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL: Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s romance is all about that Bollywood drama everyone loves. He was the He-Man, and she was his Dream Girl, and together they created history.
Veteran actor Dharmendra was touched by Salman Khan’s recent surprise visit. In fact, he even shared a picture of himself with the Tiger Zinda Hai star on social media.
In the literary hands of Bimal Roy and Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Dharmendra delivered some of his most outstanding work. But no matter whatever character he was playing, Garam Dharam was always pure entertainment.
Anupam Kher feels veteran actor Dharmendra is the “most charmingly genuine person” he has ever met. “It was wonderful to meet everybody’s favourite Dharamji at an event in Kolkata. He is the most charmingly genuine person I have met,” Anupam captioned the shared photographs of himself along with Dharmendra.
Hema Malini, who has been promoting Indian classical dance styles across the world, revealed the western dance form she wishes to learn and with whom. She also spoke about the question that irritates her. Hema recently collaborated for an Indo-Georgian dance ballet titled ‘Synergy’.
Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s (Hrishi-da to friends and acquaintances) films were simple but never simple-minded. The much-loved director of Satyakam, Anand, Chupke Chupke, Bawarchi and Gol Maal was a father-figure to a retinue of stars of the 1970s, including Gulzar, the Bachchans, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna and Amol Palekar.
The 81-year-old actor, Dharmendra made a debut on the photo sharing app Instagram and shared his look from the movie, Yamla Pagal Deewana Phir Se with his fans. In the photo he is seen riding a bike wearing a multi coloured shirt and a leather jacket.
Bobby Deol, Dharmendra and Sunny Deol are back with Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. Bobby shared a picture with the veteran actor in which the two are striking the pose of Jay-Viru from Sholay. However, Sunny gave a miss to the shoot. The film will release later this year.
Dharmendra said, “We are not greedy for anything, not running after anything, we just do it for the love. ” He also added that just like the third installment of Yamla Pagla Deewana, which featured him along with his sons, he is hopeful about a sequel to Poster Boys. The film is scheduled to release on September 8.
Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 is the next installment in the comic franchise. The first film released in 2011 and was a big hit. However, the trio of Dharmendra, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol failed to spread the same magic with the second one. Now, the trio is going to be back on screen and rumours claim that they’ll have Kajal Aggarwal as part of the madness.
So many memories are associated with 1975 film Sholay that it sometimes becomes difficult to keep a tab of all of them. Amitabh Bachchan shared a black and white picture from the sets where he can be seen rehearsing a scene with his co-star Dharmendra.
