The shooting of Dhanush’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota was on put on hold as Gautham wanted to re-start work on his ambitious project Dhruva Natchathiram.

The shooting of Rajinikanth’s Kaala is going on at good pace. Kaala is the second consecutive outing of Pa Ranjith with Rajinikanth after last year’s blockbuster Kabali. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Pankaj Tripathi among others in important roles.
The elderly couple who earlier claimed that Dhanush was their son, has now alleged that the birth documents submitted by him are fake. They have requested for the necessary action to be taken. The court had earlier quashed the petition saying that no tangible connection could be established.
The makers of the movie have announced that Maari 2 will be shot in Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Balaji Mohan, Maari 2 will have Tovino Thomas and Sai Pallavi apart from Dhanush. The film will be produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.
Actor-producer-singer Dhanush has crooned a number for Vijay Yesudas’ Padai veeran. The film is directed by Dhana and has music by Karthik Raja. It also stars veteran director Bharathiraja. Incidentally, Vijay Yesudas and Dhanush had acted together in Maari.
The project which is yet to go on the floors is the sequel to his 2015 hit film Maari. Dhanush plays the titular role of a city-based young rowdy in the film. Besides playing the lead role, Dhanush is also bankrolling the project under his home production banner Wunderbar Films.
Kollywood star Dhanush unveiled the trailer of Tharangam, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Tharangam is directed by Dominic Arun of Mrithyumjayam fame and it also stars Santhy Balachandran, Neha Iyer among others. Tharangam marks Dhanush’s debut in the Malayalam film industry as a producer.
Dhanush will be debuted in Hollywood with The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir which is a Marjane Satrapi directorial. He says the film has taught him about filmmaking. The film is based on a book by French author Romain Puertolas. Dhanush was last seen in Velai Illa Pattathari 2
The album of Vijay’s 61st movie Mersal was launched on Sunday in a star-studded affair. Directed by Atlee, with music by AR Rahman, the film also stars Kajal Agarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen. Dhanush said that he had come as Vijay’s friend and not as an actor.
VIP 2 Lalkar movie review: The film could have been the better watch, however, Dhanush flubs it, essentially because of a treatment that is all cliché. Given that there is a female director at the helm, it has surprisingly regressive lines, poking fun at wives and other women.
Dhanush’s passion for writing eventually paved the way for him to direct Pa Paandi, which released earlier this year and did wonders at the box office. Coming from a family of writers and directors, he says it was natural he took a liking to writing.
Tharangam, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role, marks Dhanush’s debut as a producer in the Malayalam film industry. The teaser was released on Tuesday. Dhanush’s home production banner Wunderbar Films is also bankrolling a few interesting projects, including Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala.
