‘Of estimated 20 lakh jobs to be created in state, one lakh each to come from app-based cab services, leather industry, gems and jewellery sector’
Mamata Banerjee informed that out of 20 lakh jobs in the state, one lakh will be created by Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited.
While 20 of the 30 companies have ongoing projects in India, this will be the first visit to the country for the other 10. Of them, four are from Jiangsu, four from Shandong and one from Yunnan province in China
“It is nothing but a drama to fool the masses. No industry will come up in Bengal until and unless law and order situation in Bengal is taken care of,” said BJP national secretary Sidharth Nath Singh.
The previous Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee government had proposed to build a chemical hub at the Nayachar Islands in East Midnapore, but they later abandoned the plan.
Of the claimed 2.43 lakh crore, Rs 1.14 lakh crore would come from the Central government.
