New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the second phase of ‘Odd-Even’ formula will start from April 15 to April 30 in the national capital. MCD workers protest against Delhi Government

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) workers protested outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence over non-payment of dues, which are due for months. It is resulting in immense financial burden on them. This is for the second time this month that the MCD employees are on a strike. The MCD officials said as a result of the protest, MCD services will be affected for some days. The cash-strapped North and East Delhi civic bodies have been unable to pay salaries to workers for three to four months now. There are over one lakh sanitation workers waiting for their salaries.

Delhi Govt. saves Rs. 121 cr in elevated corridor

New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday inaugurated the third elevated corridor between Mangolpuri and Madhuban Chowk, claiming that Rs. 121 crore have been saved in this project. Kejriwal said that before his government was formed in Delhi, the estimated cost of the project was Rs. 421 crore, which has now been completed in Rs. 300 crore. He added that the money saved would be used to provide free medical tests and medicines to the people at all government hospitals in Delhi.

A Hindu and Muslim kite-maker work together in the state of Gujarat spreading harmony

Gujarat, Jan 21 (ANI): Time and again, people in India have proved their unity through innumerable examples of friendship and acts of harmony. An example of this can be seen in India’s western city of Ahmadabad where two kite-makers have been working towards spreading communal harmony through messages scripted on their kites. Govt. hospitals to provide free medical test from Feb. 1: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Inaugurating the six-lane elevated road from Mangolpuri to Madhuban Chowk, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that all government hospitals in Delhi will provide free medicines and medical tests from February 1. Kejriwal further informed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has saved Rs 350 crore in last two to three months from the construction of elevated roads. He also thanked former chief minister Sheila Dikshit for giving a green signal to these projects and further praised PWD engineers for saving such huge amount of money.

AAP trying to deflect attention from defamation suit: Shah

New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): With the Aam Aadmi Party constituting a committee to probe the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) irregularities, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday said that the entire process is adopted by the former to deflect the attention of people from a defamation suit filed by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He, however, expressed doubts over the DDCA’s coming under purview of the probe. Meanwhile, the Patiala House Court on Monday set January 5 as the next date of hearing for the criminal defamation case filed by Jaitley against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders. Earlier in the day, the Finance Minister has filed civil defamation suit in Delhi High Court of Rs. 10 crores against Kejriwal and other AAP leaders.

Finance Minister sues Kejriwal for slander

New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley sued Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday for slander, escalating a battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that has stalled key reform legislations in parliament. Jaitley’s office said he had filed the civil and criminal defamation cases against Kejriwal and five members of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Arvind Kejriwal, who routed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in state elections earlier this year, accused Jaitley last week of fraud while running the affairs of the DDCA from 2003 to 2013. Jaitley told members of the lower house of parliament that the allegations were false. Kejriwal alleged that the raid was Jaitley’s attempt to scuttle his investigation into alleged corruption in the DDCA. A 2014 inquiry into the DDCA unearthed auditing errors and unaccounted for expenses that were sanctioned during Jaitley’s tenure.Meanwhile, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the party will expose this scam.
