Cementing its position in the top three,IndiGo airlines flew ahead of Air India by carrying 1.71 lakh more domestic passengers than the national carrier in January this year. IndiGo also recorded the highest occupancy level in domestic skies at 88.6 per cent last month.
Domestic air traffic rose in January with Jet and JetLite flying about 1/4th of the passengers.
